Welcome - new Visiting Professor for Policing Research at the International Centre for Policing and Security

Welcome to Dr Ian Pepper, our new Visiting Professor in Policing Research.

Ian is a former principal lecturer, senior lecturer, police trainer, Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) and fingerprint officer. He has been a team leader at the National Training Centre for Scientific Support to Crime Investigation and has designed and delivered education and training to crime scene investigators and police officers worldwide. 

Ian has completed a number of academic roles, including undergraduate and postgraduate external examiner, doctoral supervisor, Chair of the College of Policing PEQF Senior Qualifications Higher Education Institution/Awarding Organisations Group and Invited Visiting Scholar at the University of Central Florida, USA.

With regional, national and international research interests focused on police higher education, volunteers within policing, employability and crime scene investigation, Ian has authored a number of books and journal articles.
